Mridangam Accompanist and Instructor:
Advaith Rameswamy began his training in Mridangam under the tutelage of Sri. Kolkata R. Srinivasan, Sri. N.C. Bharadwaj, Sri. R. Ramkumar and is now under the tutelage of Sri. Neyveli Narayanan.
Advaith has performed at events like Sangeeta Bharati’s Navarathri Sangeethothsav, IFAA DFW’s Yuva Pratibha, Indian Octave’s Tyagaraja Aradhana, BYOM Margazhi Concert Series, and Agasthiyar Kalai Mandram’s programs. Previously, he accompanied artists in Milwaukee and Chicago, with notable performances at Milwaukee Tyagaraja Aradhana, Hindu Temple of Wisconsin’s Ekanta Seva Concerts, WI Shirdi Sai Temple’s Annual Aradhana, and Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago’s Fall Concert Series. He continues to perform in Shivaranjani School of Music’s Poorva Peetika concert series and has played in 35+ concerts and 75+ programs.
He also participates in the Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana and was a member of Milwaukee’s Team ManOdharma, an experimental percussion band that performed at India’s 75th Independence Celebration (Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav), organized by the Consulate General of India, Chicago.
Other Interests:
Advaith has learnt Carnatic vocal singing from his mother, Smt. Srividya Yagnaraman and has also studied Western classical music for over 11 years, playing the viola and performing in the High School Symphonic Orchestra. He has consistently earned 1-star ratings and performed at State Festivals in Wisconsin and Texas.
He is an avid Tennis player and regularly competes in Tennis Tournaments.
