OUR STORY
Shivaranjani School Of Music was formally founded by Smt. Srividya Yagnaraman in 2018.
Srividya serves as the Founder, Owner, and Chief Executive Officer of Shivaranjani School of Music LLC and is responsible for:

Artistic direction and curriculum leadership

Educational quality and faculty oversight

Institutional vision and long-term strategic direction

Oversight of performance initiatives, participation and learning certificates, and ethnomusicology programs

Community and cultural partnerships with temples and organizations
Smt. Srividya Yagnaraman started her vocal music training at the age of 5. She learnt in the Mysore bani from Sri Satya of Pranava Music College, Bangalore and Smt. Rathna Shivashankar, H.O.D of Music, Maharani's College, Bangalore and specialized in learning the Mysore compositions of Sri Jayachamarajendra Wodeyar and Sri. Mutthaiyya Bhagavathar. She is under the tutelage of Smt. Lalgudi Rajalakshmi, a highly respected violin and vocal musician and guru of the Lalgudi lineage and Smt. Vidya Subramanian, a renowned music educator and entrepreneur. She also underwent special Layam training under Sri Kolkata Srinivasan.
She regularly participated and won several accolades at The Gayana Samaja, Kamala Music Academy and other prestigious platforms in Bangalore.
She is one of the founders of the Milwaukee Tyagaraja Aradhana committee founded in 2006 and has been working diligently to generate and motivate Carnatic Music interest in children and music enthusiasts. She has performed in various concerts in and around the Greater Milwaukee and Chicago areas and the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex.
As part of Shivaranjani School Of Music's several initiatives, she instituted a program called the "Poorva Peetika", a debut Carnatic Music concert series. This program also identifies upcoming accompanying artists and trains them toward the concert.
Srividya also regularly provides vocal support for Bharatanatyam arangetrams, Salangai Poojais and dance productions in prestigious platforms including the Cleveland Tyagaraja Aradhana, Milwaukee Tyagaraja Aradhana.
Outside of her music career, she holds a Master’s in Electrical Engineering and currently works as a Manager of Software Engineering at Voya Financial.

Carnatic Flautist and teacher
Arjun Rameswamy began his music training at age 5 under his mother, Smt. Srividya Yagnaraman in vocal music and later in Carnatic flute since age 8 from Sri. Kalpathi Vidyaraman. He currently learns from renowned flautist, Isai Peroli Sri J.A. Jayant.
He performs regularly across the Dallas–Fort Worth area and the Greater Milwaukee and Chicago region. He has performed in the prestigious Margazhi Music Season in Chennai, numerous Carnatic music productions, dance programs and music concerts as both a soloist and as a co-musician in ensembles, the recent one being the Karya Siddhi Hanuman Temple, Frisco's Swarna Yatra Festival.
He has won the 1st place in the Saptami Sabha Global Competitions (2024) and 2nd place in both the Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana Krithi and Kalpana Swaram Competitions (2025) in recent times.
Arjun is a flute teacher at Shivaranjani School of Music.
In Western classical music, Arjun is a violinist and currently serves as Concertmaster of the Symphonic orchestra (highest level Orchestra) at his high school and has earning top ratings at state music festivals in TX and WI. Additionally, he has played in the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra for several years.

Mridangam Accompanist and Teacher
Advaith Rameswamy began his training in Mridangam under the tutelage of Sri. Kolkata R. Srinivasan, Sri. N.C. Bharadwaj, Sri. Ramkumar and is now under the tutelage of Sri. Neyveli Narayanan.
Advaith has performed at events like Sangeeta Bharati’s Navarathri Sangeethothsav, IFAA DFW’s Yuva Pratibha, Indian Octave’s Tyagaraja Aradhana, BYOM Margazhi Concert Series, and Agasthiyar Kalai Mandram’s programs. Previously, he accompanied artists in Milwaukee and Chicago, with notable performances at Milwaukee Tyagaraja Aradhana, Hindu Temple of Wisconsin’s Ekanta Seva Concerts, WI Shirdi Sai Temple’s Annual Aradhana, and Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago’s Fall Concert Series. He continues to perform in Shivaranjani School of Music’s Poorva Peetika concert series and has played in 35+ concerts and 75+ programs.
He also participates in the Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana and was a member of Milwaukee’s Team ManOdharma, an experimental percussion band that performed at India’s 75th Independence Celebration (Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav), organized by the Consulate General of India, Chicago.
Advaith has learnt Carnatic vocal singing from his mother, Smt. Srividya Yagnaraman and has also studied Western classical music for over 11 years, playing the viola and serving as Principal Violist in his school's Symphonic Orchestra. He has consistently earned 1-star ratings and performed at State Festivals in Wisconsin and Texas.
